Chris Matthews, the MSNBC political pundit, recently grilled Texas State Senator Kirk Watson for supporting Obama despite knowing nothing about the candidate’s legislative record.

“Can you name any — can you name anything he’s accomplished?” Matthews pressed.

“No,” Watson, whose district includes Austin, finally admitted. “I’m not gonna be able to do that.”

“Well, that’s a problem, isn’t it?” Matthews said.

So Hillary gets caught in a flagrant lie about bullets over Bosnia, and now it’s time to displace blame? Obama’s statement and Clinton’s are apples and oranges: Hillary is either delusional or an outright liar; Obama is a spin politician carefully parsing his words. Tell me one thing that Hillary has accomplished, off the top of your head — and don’t say “Peace in Northern Ireland” or SCHIP, since those have proved to be gross exaggerations as well.

You can spin “spin” anyway you wish, but it is still a lie. Or is it if your candidate does it, it is just spin if another candidate or the president does it, it is a bold face lie. You’re an idiot. He does not take money from oil companies or from any companies. He takes money from individuals. The FEC requires you to identify your employer when you donate. Hillary’s added up all all the money that had been donated to him by people who work for oil companies and said that was the same thing as getting money from oil companies.

I have just had the misfortune of stumbling onto this website for the first time. I must say, this is perhaps the grossest testament I’ve seen of inter-party devastation yet. Everyone who belongs to and believes in this site should be ashamed of themselves. Is it not possible that individuals from within an Oil Company, however high in the hierarchy, support him for non-monetary or politically irrelevant (to their employer) reasons? Taking money from employees is NOT the same as taking money from the company and framing it as you have is highly disingenuous.

Susan, do you know how easy it would be to accuse Clinton of all of the things you’ve listed here? And how much more damaging the guilt-by-association chains one could build for the Clintons? Far from being “finished,” Obama has an insurmountable lead in delegates, in popular vote, in popularity ratings, and in campaign funds (Clinton’s campaign is again broke, and not paying their bills–see today’s headlines; trust her with our economy??). The superdelegates seem to understand this well: since Feb, Obama’s picked up 64, Clinton only 5. So tell us again who’s finished?

Note to Steve–When the “individual” who gives you the contribution is the CEO of a company, and that donation is followed by a big bundle of donations, then in practical terms, the CEO’s company was out there scrounging money for the candidate. Who do you think the CEO’s hit up for cash? Why yes–it IS the other companies they do business with. You’re so clever. Hillary is no prize on ethics, but then your horse Obama is turning out to be a bit of a steaming turd himself on that front. Just because someone raised money individually whether it is from people they work with, or other companies doesn’t make it a company donation. Obama is telling the truth on this one. It is from individual donors, who, in fact, have donated to his campaign due to his push for more independence on foreign forms of energy. They believe his is the best one to help transform their companies. Which is really what we all want.

However, if you continue to click through the website and try to register your name with zip code, it takes you to a page that says it does not exist. Hmmm….

Who is grasping for straws at this point? The republicans or Hillary? Hmm, maybe both I think it is safe to assume.
The republicans WANT Hillary to get the nomination, b/c McCain can beat her, but he CANNOT beat Barack Obama.
