DONE (Democrats Over Nominating Elitists)

At today’s press conference on the economy, Obama appeared to dis ailing widow and former First Lady, Nancy Reagan:

Obama says he’s spoken to all the former presidents — Carter, Bush, Clinton, as well as the current Bush — and, looser than he’s been in months, dares a joke at the expense of the most recently deceased.

“I have spoken to all of them who are living,” he says. “I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances,” he says.

Besides being un-Presidential, snarky, and childish, this is odd coming from a man who has been on record criticizing anyone coming after his own wife. But not so odd coming from the man who condescends to females and female reporters by calling them ‘Sweetie.’

More importantly, Obama proved he is certainly not a Clinton Democrat — rumors to the contrary notwithstanding. We know this because rather than propose fiscal restraint and responsibility in response to continued economic trouble, he today proposed more and more and more spending and government giveaways, including another stimulus package and another bailout. Nevermind that the first stimulus accomplished squat, as did the unpopular bailout.

The cheesy podium sign isn’t going over well either. What on earth is ‘The Office of the President Elect’? Sounds like another bad Tom Wolfe novel, just like Obama today sounded like another bad Carter presidency.
